SEQUINS STUDIO is a boutique Pilates, barre, and yoga studio in Cabbagetown, Toronto. We offer small-group movement classes, private training, corporate wellness programs, and special events in a restored Victorian clubhouse. BARRE CALL

A dynamic barre class blending strength and stability with resistance bands, weights, and squish balls. Feel the burn build and leave glowing.

BARRE CALL is a 50-minute barre class where big muscles and sly stabilizers unite in a choreography of effort. Drawing inspiration from ballet, Pilates, and strength training, the class combines resistance bands, light weights, and squish balls to challenge the legs, glutes, arms, and core from every conceivable angle.

CONNECT CORE

Build core strength and balance in this Pilates-based class using a wall Sling for extra feedback. Controlled effort, steady results.

CONNECT CORE is a 50-minute Pilates-based class that explores the art of stability. Using our wall sling system that provides both support and challenge (you’ll see)—this class combines grounded Pilates principles with suspension-assisted movement to awaken the deep muscles that hold everything together.

DUCK COMFIT is a 50-minute restorative movement class devoted to the art of unwinding. Slip into your cozies, arrive exactly as you are, and prepare to gently unravel the day's tension through myofascial release, assisted stretching, breathwork, and restorative movement.

Built around the yoga shapes you know and love, each class moves through foundational postures designed to improve flexibility, mobility, range of motion, and gently soften the nervous system.

SEQUINS is our signature class, and the one responsible for the name of the studio itself. Born from our longstanding inability to properly pronounce sequence, SEQUINS is exactly that: a beautifully arranged sequence of movement.

PILAT-EASE

Served up nice and slow, Pilat-EASE is a thoughtful return to the essentials of Pilates. Perfect for those new to movement, or simply in the mood to move with more care than flair.

PILAT-EASE is our foundational Pilates class that focuses on the essentials of movement. This 50-minute mat class relies on core engagement, spinal articulation, hip mobility, posture, and breath coordination through slow, intentional, and expertly guided movement.

      4- or 8-Class Memberships: Late cancellations result in the loss of the class credit.

  • Pilat-EASE is our recommended starting point for complete beginners. This slower-paced mat Pilates class explores the foundational movements with plenty of instruction and requires no previous fitness experience. If you have no physical limitations and prefer something a touch more spirited, Barre Call is equally beginner-friendly. Both classes are included in the SEQUINS Studio two-week unlimited introductory offer.

  • All classes at SEQUINS Studio are 50–55 minutes long, with morning, midday, and evening options available throughout the week. You can view the current timetable on our schedule page.   • Classes at SEQUINS Studio are intentionally intimate, with most classes capped a maximum of 16–18. Smaller group sizes mean more individual attention, more thoughtful form corrections, and fewer opportunities to disappear into the back row. It's one of the reasons so many clients choose SEQUINS.

  • Yes — both pilates and barre can be beneficial for lower back pain when practised with proper instruction. Pilates is particularly effective because it trains the deep stabiliser muscles (transversus abdominis, multifidus, pelvic floor) that support spinal health. Connect Core and Pilat-EASE at Sequins Studio are both appropriate starting points for people managing back pain. Mention any injuries to the instructor before your first class.

  • No dance experience is required for Barre Call at SEQUINS Studio. Designed with beginners and non-dancers in mind, this barre class welcomes participants of all backgrounds and fitness levels. Any ballet terminology is explained along the way, modifications are offered throughout, and the barre itself is used simply as a support for balance, not for dance technique. In other words, no one is expecting a pirouette.

  • Most clients begin to notice improvements in strength, posture, balance, and energy after attending Pilates, barre, and yoga classes two to three times per week. Consistent practice typically leads to noticeable changes in core strength and posture within six to eight weeks, while improvements in muscular endurance and definition often appear within four to six weeks.

    For those looking to see results more quickly, attending three to four classes per week and mixing Pilates, barre, and restorative movement offers a beautifully balanced approach. As with most worthwhile things, consistency tends to be the secret.

  • Fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds and supports the muscles, joints, organs, and nerves throughout the body. Myofascial release uses gentle, sustained pressure and restorative movement to help reduce tension and restriction in this tissue, improving mobility, easing chronic tightness, and supporting recovery.

    DUCK COMFIT is SEQUINS Studio's signature fascia release and restorative movement class. This 50-minute experience combines myofascial release techniques, stretching, breathwork, and restorative movement to help calm the nervous system and leave you feeling lighter, and pleasantly rearranged. Think of it as self-care with a very practical side.

  • Pilates, barre, and yoga are low-impact forms of exercise well suited to adults of all ages, including those over 60 and of a particularly radiant vintage.

    Pilat-EASE, DUCK COMFIT, and THE GOOD HANG are especially popular with clients seeking slower-paced, joint-friendly movement with an emphasis on mobility, balance, flexibility, and restoration. All classes include modifications, and our instructors are experienced in adapting exercises to suit individual needs and varying levels of experience.

    In other words, you do not need to be young, bendy, or capable of touching your toes. You simply need to arrive.

  • SEQUINS Studio offers seven distinct class formats, each designed to support strength, mobility, and feeling radiant in your own skin. Choose from BARRE CALL (barre strength and endurance), CONNECT CORE (deep core Pilates, sling-suspension format), DUCK COMFIT (fascia release and restorative movement), STRETCH LIMO (yoga for flexibility and mobility), SEQUINS (our signature blend of Pilates, barre, and restorative), PILAT-EASE (beginner-friendly mat Pilates), and GLOW MOTION (equal parts invigorating and restorative). THE GOOD HANG (Sling Yoga inspired by Yvengar yoga)

  • Sequins Studio is located at 552 Parliament Street in Cabbagetown, Toronto, ON M4X 1P6. The studio is accessible by TTC (Parliament Street bus route) and is close to Wellesley Street East. Convenient Street parking is available on Parliament Street and surrounding side streets.
